I'm reading a book call "the new rules of marketing and PR" and is giving me a lot to think about. Although the computer technicalities in the book are exciting, the most important message for me is that each person could be the best Marketing Director for his/her enterprise, whatever it is.

How? Writing

What? Content about your art/profession/craft/etc

Where? Web

The catch? You have to be good!

For example, the author recommend not to create a blog right away but start looking around in blogs that you like, share similar interests, people you would like to talk to, etc. Then find and express your own voice.

After you’ve done that you need to start writing about your subject (passion) because the most you write the higher is the probability to be found (content is the key). Here is where the catch takes part on the game. How much can you say? How good are you expressing your ideas? How much credibility can you inspire? How original you are? What is your extra value?

I know it won’t be easy but that’s why we are special; because we believe in what we do and we are doing it even against the odds. We know our shit and that’s why I believe we can use this tool. Out there is a lot of competition but this is just the chance to prove how good we are.

Check out the book and start writing.
